FC Plus is the latest new product: a practical inexpensive solution for restoring the cutting surface. The blade is provided with grooves throughout its length and on both sides.

The groove is the best method for restoring the contact plane, maintaining blade efficiency and providing a new cutting surface.
The groove and the slight off-centre location of the hole eliminate the need to turn the blade at the end of cutting, with considerable saving during fitting.
The operation can be performed in any cutting phase and is an alternative to the traditional methods using oxyhydrogen flame and pneumatic shears.
The blade must be fitted with the grooves facing downwards. The fitting method does not change.
Restoring the cutting surface
Consists in removal by breakage of the non-worn area of the blade along the groove.
It is performed manually by means of an appropriate tool used on the part to be removed.
Ferriera di Cittadella recommends the following tool specifications: gap depth 15 mm, maximum width 7 mm, corners perfectly squared.
The FC Plus is a patented idea and is protected also as a trademark. The characteristic of this blade is unique and cannot be reproduced outside the FC factories. The advantages of the blade are guaranteed and developed by the Ferriera di Cittadella research and development department.
The tests performed have provided satisfactory results and guarantee innovation of the blade together with advantages in terms of working time and protection of employees against the accidents that occurred with the previous techniques for removal of the worn material.
Today this blade is used as a matter of course and is considered an integral part of the new sawing systems.
