The hot-rolled steel products we manufacture are certified in accordance with UNI EN 10025 standards, reflecting the excellent quality of our research, design, and development compared to the offerings available in the market.

 

FC is also distinguished by its strict quality control system, which covers both incoming raw materials and the entire production process of rolled products and diamond wires. Purchased material is only processed if it complies with the parameters outlined by the relevant standards.

 

The production of diamond wires is subject to the same stringent quality control procedures for raw materials.

 

The careful selection of suppliers, along with in-line and post-production checks, enables total control over product quality and traceability.

 

 

 

Raw Material Quality Control Procedure

In addition to the checks guaranteed by our suppliers, we perform our own acceptance inspections in line with our internal procedures and, for merchant rolled products, according to the UNI EN 10025 standards.

 

Ferriera di Cittadella was the first company in the sector to acquire certification in 1998.

 

Chemical analysis, hardness testing and bend tests are conducted on every batch we receive. For hot rolled bars, tensile tests are also performed and, when required, resilience tests are carried out.

 

During processing, our products are inspected at various stages to ensure they align with the order specifications.

 

 

 

The Importance of Thickness

The blade thickness is crucial for determining the number of square meters that can be obtained from a block. Efficiency is achieved when the product is of high quality and allows for excellent yield. In this context, thickness and the continuity of supplies over time are fundamental elements. A thickness that exceeds the specified tolerances makes the supply no longer cost-effective.

 

Quality control of thicknesses produced in our plants represents a significant economic saving for our customers.
