This achievement was not a final destination, but the beginning of a continuous innovation process.<\/p>\n

Always focused on researching new technologies and advanced solutions for stone cutting, Ferriera decided to expand its offering by entering the diamond wire<\/strong> market starting in 2014.<\/p>\n

Ferriera di Cittadella has continuously increased investments in research and development<\/strong> and this commitment has led to the success of the innovative diamond wire<\/strong>, which today represents one of the crown jewels of our production.<\/p>\n

Starting from 2023, based on feedback gathered directly from sawmills, a diamond wire<\/strong> with 42 beads per linear meter<\/strong> was developed, designed to optimize performance and reduce wear on Multi-wire machines, thereby improving the overall cutting process efficiency.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The company places particular emphasis on energy savings, environmental protection, and safeguarding workers’ health, actively committing to responsible and eco-friendly choices.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ferriera produces a sustainable wire as it is completely cobalt-free.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This innovative wire has been designed with the goal of successfully handling the sequential cutting of hard and abrasive materials<\/strong> such as crystals and quartzites, while maintaining consistent and uniform cutting quality. It also reduces costs<\/strong> in both the cutting and polishing phases, optimizing consumption and enhancing overall productivity.<\/p>\n

The beads thickness ranges from 4.3 to 8.3 mm in diameter.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In 2024, a new patent was filed for a completely innovative wire with a diameter of 4 mm, which can be further reduced. The new technology was initially tested in our multi-wire laboratory using specially purchased blocks to simulate cutting dynamics similar to those of our customers.<\/p>\n
